This year has started with a bunch of nice events and also a brand new feeling. I'm slowly overcoming various difficulties I had in my life, and I really feel different, a strange kind of euphorc freedom I think. I can't explain it very well, but I feel changed and also my style and my approach to work is changing.
I'm trying new techniques: I seriously trying to use watercolors and different kinds of tools that I've never used until now, and this is helping me a lot improving my style and my thoughts about all the stages my work have. On the comic pages, my pencils are made faster and more space is given to the inks and to experimenting with them. Until very recently this was something impossible for me, I was too rigid and serious for experimenting with these things, and I was unaware that these bad feelings were poisoning also my art. It's a long process, but now I can finally say that I feel better and that I will eventually overcome everything!
I'm (kinda)trying to be more 'social': My Thumblr account still needs some improving, expecially with the layout(oh the layouts!) and the 'social' part (you know, bloggin' and rebloggin' and everything xD), but it just need some more work and it will be ready. I'm also thinking about Instagram, but I'm not completely sure. A dear friend has started to use it just some days ago, I trust her and if she find herself at ease, I will probably try it. Jeez, the only thing that is lacking now is enough freetime xD
Well, I'm done for now, I'm also trying to keep my updates shorter and to upload them more frequently(eh..).
I tried a differente approach and 'reasoning' with colours here, maybe I finally understood how the work xD The draw itself is a strip, taken by a page I made a while ago, re-elaborated and inked. Originally, the characters were Bullseye and Wolverine xD
Made for fun and exercise, between works and other things. Ispired by this beautiful illustration by the excellent Segio Toppi www.planetebd.com/bd/mosquito/… I'm working on 4 comics , and they all will be published this year, please follow me on Facebook for more informations about the two I've already finished and also more (magic)friendship xD Don't forget my Tumblr I'm also there! ^-^
This was the project named 'S.Project', a one-shot test page made for Cagliostro EPress, which convinced them to hire me for their new sci fi project 'Giganti d'acciaio'. Nedless to say, I'm very honored to work with them!
